2025 Certification and Compliance Visit Report
The season of visits to member camps is now over. This year, 41 consultants visited 292 camp organizations in Quebec's 17 administrative regions. The visits took place between June 26 and August 13, over a period of 35 working days.
93% of the camps visited said they were “very satisfied” with the work of their consultant, and 7% were satisfied.
The ACQ would like to extend its warmest thanks to:
- The camps that welcomed the consultants,
- The team of consultants for their professionalism and commitment to supporting managers in applying standards and guidelines,
- The Réseau des Unités régionales de loisir et de sport du Québec (RURLS) and the URLS agents participating in the camp support and advisory project, for their assistance in preparing the camps and following up on visits.
Thanks to all of you, we continue to strengthen the quality and safety of camps across Quebec!
New risk management tools
The ACQ, in collaboration with the Committee for the Development and Promotion of Outdoor Activities, provides practical and easy-to-use tools to help you manage risks. These tools (available in French only) include templates for outing plans and emergency measures, as well as educational resources (video clips, educational leaflets, and a glossary).
A new recruit at the ACQ!
The ACQ recently welcomed a new recruit to its ranks! Geneviève Lafleur, Communications Officer, is responsible for managing our multiple newsletters and social media accounts. We welcome her to the team!
