Congratulations to the 2024 winners!

Margot Lavoie
Winner of a 2024 Torchbearer award, Margot Lavoie, since 1995, has contributed professionalism, humanism, kindness, endearing personality and team spirit to help maintain the excellent reputation of Camp Canawish. This camp, mainly focused over the last decade on welcoming campers with special needs, has benefited from her invaluable commitment. To date, Margot Lavoie has dedicated 31 years of her life to Camp Canawish, including 22 as assistant director.
Jacques Proulx
Winner of a 2024 Torchbearer award, Jacques Proulx arrived at Camp Tekakwitha in 1971. Since then, he has held almost all the positions there. He founded the Pioneer Sector, a program of long expeditions for teenagers on the Appalachian Trail, one of his greatest legacies. He accompanied the first cohorts who still bear his indelible mark today.
Mélody Poulin
The 2024 Distinction Successor Award was awarded to Ms. Mélody Poulin, the first female winner and first person from a compliant municipal day camp in her category.
Mélody has several successes to her credit since taking up her position in 2013 at Vie culturelle et community de Granby, a paramunicipal NPO. Of all the mandates that she brilliantly oversees, the Club Vacances Jeunesse (CVJ) excites her the most, where she started as a counselor at the age of 15.
