Grand Tribute Award
Because the world of camps is full of exceptional people, we have decided to award not one, but two Grand Tribute awards this year.
The first Grand Tribute was awarded to Jean DeBlois, former director at Camp Papillon, for his exceptional contribution to his organization and the world of camps, throughout his career.
The second Grand Tribute was awarded to Yvan Dubois, founder of the EDPHY camp.
Mr. Dubois was unable to be present during the awards ceremony, but he accepted his prize with great pride.
Emerging Distinction Award
The Emerging Distinction Award was awarded to Philippe Dupré-Deslandes of the Centre Plein Air Fatima for his professional progression in the world of camps and his positive influence in the industry.
Outstanding Achievement Award
The Outstanding Achievement was awarded to Sylvie Duceppe from Camp Géronimo
It is in the arts and culture sector that Sylvie Duceppe excelled by opening, 27 years ago, Géronimo, a sleepaway camp specializing in circus arts. Even today, Camp Géronimo is the one and only camp of its category.
Torchbearer Distinction Award
The Torchbearer Distinction award was awarded to Yannick Godin for his major and undeniable contribution to the Centre de plein air l’Estacade.
Considered a pillar in his organization, he became general director in 2013 and since then, the camp has never ceased to develop.
