Thursday, July 17, 2025, is the official Opération Drapeau day! Be sure to include it in your summer programming!
Opération Drapeau is a collective mission to foster safer, more positive camp environments. In collaboration with the Conseil québécois du loisir (CQL), the ACQ is proud to launch this initiative as part of the Journées de l’animation, highlighting the powerful and inspiring role camp staff play in the lives of youth.
Join the movement - and follow us on social media!

The ACQ is pleased to welcome a new addition to its dynamic team!
We extend a warm welcome to Yasmine Benaida, our new Communications agent. Yasmine will manage the ACQ’s social media platforms and email marketing campaigns.
The ACQ’s Official Suppliers: valuable partners in preparing for your summer!
Whether you need to upgrade your equipment, better organize your registrations, enhance your programming, or train your staff, you can count on official suppliers to provide quality and great service. Preferential rates are allocated to the ACQ members.
A record year for our supplier memberships
This year, a record of 50 suppliers joined the program—an unprecedented number! A wonderful recognition of the vitality of our industry!
Message from the Insurer: adding a new activity
Before adding a new activity, it’s essential to contact your insurer.
Here’s the key information to gather when contacting your insurer:
- Provide a detailed description of the activity.
- Establish the rules and safety standards, based on best practices, to minimize risk during the activity.
- Plan for staff training and create clear signage detailing procedures and regulations.
- Check with the ACQ to see if standards exist for this type of activity.
- If a third party is responsible for the installation, request proof of their insurance.
The more detailed the information on the installation and safety measures, the more favourably the insurer will assess the request. After reviewing the information, the insurer may approve or decline the activity, potentially with additional requirements or a premium surcharge.
