Description

Place of work:

This position requires working at the Tim Horton Voyageurs Camp (TJC) site in Quyon, Quebec. Travel may be required (United States and Canada) from time to time to carry out the responsibilities of the position.

It is possible to reside on the site depending on the candidate and his or her situation.

Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Camp Operations, this position is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the food services team at Tim Horton's Camp des Voyageurs.

Responsabilités

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tim Horton Voyageurs Camp kitchen
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the food service team by setting clear, performance-oriented goals and expectations that appropriately address each staff member's responsibilities
  • Establish work schedules and assign tasks to the team
  • Manage the needs of a large number of participants simultaneously
  • Create camp menus respecting the use of donations and available budget
  • Modify menus to respect special diets and avoid allergens
  • Manage the preparation and service of meals requiring special accommodations
  • Manage inventory and track expenses and donations
  • Monitor and inspect equipment to ensure the quality and safety of the work environment
  • Ensure that public health and safety guidelines, as well as local regulations, are implemented and followed in the kitchen and dining room
  • Participate in visits and audits of standards
  • Provide feedback to the Senior Manager of Camp Operations or the Standards team on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the planning, coordination and execution of engagement events with our partners

Profil

QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT

  • Bilingual (French/English) required
  • At least five years of management experience in the food service industry
  • Specialized Training as a Chef or Food Service Manager
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • At least three years of experience as a cook
  • Experience in managing large groups and events
  • Experience with special diets and allergens
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating a team
  • Experience in planning menus for large groups
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation to and from camp is required
  • Criminal record and/or vulnerable sector checks
