DAFA Animation - VIRTUAL & IN ENGLISH

Who is the training for ? 

This training aims to help participants gain knowledge and develop skills for leading activities for groups of children aged 5 to 17 years old. It encourages activity leaders to progress appropriately in their environment. They will be assigned responsibilities related to leading free time activities, such as cultural, outdoor, socio-educational, scientific, sport or tourist-centred recreational activities. The training is general and versatile enough to empower activity leaders appropriately, so they can work in all leisure field.

Training content

The training module consists of two parts:  33 hours of theory and 35 hours of practical work with children. The theory takes place entirely online, on the plateform FC3. Participants follow the training at their own pace. The 35 hours of practical work are carried out within your organization.

Unit 1 : Animation, leadership and teamwork
Understand the animator's role and develop key interpersonal skills
 

Unit 2 : Understanding Youth and Intervention
Learn how to support children and teens through appropriate interventions

Unit 3 : Activity Planning and Facilitation
Create, organize, and lead fun and meaningful programs 

Unit 4 : Safety and Legal Responsibilities
Promote a safe environment and understand legal obligations

Requirements 

• Please note that you cannot register as an individual without being affiliated with an organization.
• Be at least 16 years old by June 30 (15-year-old participant are eligible, but will not obtain their diploma until the age of 16).
• Be associated with an organization that will be in charge of supervising the 35h of practical work in animation

If you already have an account on the DAFA website :

1. Click on “Register” at the top of this page.
2. A login page will open on the DAFA website.
3. Log in and check that you have selected the right course.
4. Click on “Register” in the right-hand corner of the DAFA site.

Once registration has been completed, each candidate will receive an e-mail indicating to whom invoicing will be sent, as well as practical details for the course.

Invoices will be sent to the person in charge of the organization indicated by the participants in the days following the course.
